MUMC Serves! is a way for members and friends of the Milford United Methodist Church to discover the joy of knowing and serving Jesus Christ! This new program makes it easy to find concrete, practical ways to serve our community with the love of Christ. Below is a comprehensive, easy-to-use list of all the ministry opportunities in the church that you can browse.

Each listing provides the name of the ministry, a brief description of what you can do to help, and who to contact for more information. If you know of any other opportunities to serve, please feel free to enter them below, or email the Church at office@milfordumc.org.

Sanctuary Setup

Calling all strong men.

Pat Rafter is looking for strong men; well let me rephrase that. I am looking to form a group of men that can be called upon to help set up the sanctuary for different events that occur throughout the year. I am looking for one of these men to be the lead person for this group and with either a quick phone call or a blitz email can get a group of 8 or 10 men together to take care of clearing the sanctuary of chairs and then return to set the sanctuary back up. I've done it with a group and it can be done in less than an hour or 30 minutes if you work as a team with a plan. Having a group like this lifts a great load off the committee that is putting on an event. You will be notified by the office at least 1 week prior to an event so that a team can be pulled together. This team will be provided with the floor plan for the event so that you know where tables and chairs need to go and you will also have a plan as to how to reset the sanctuary. The lead person will have a key and security code to open and close the building. I am looking for 25-30 men to be part of this group. So if you are able bodied please step up and lend a hand....remember "Many Hands Makes Light Work"! You can contact me @ icu2per@aol.com or speak with me at church (first service). I'm trying to remember to wear my name badge!

Afternoon Off

Every Friday we care for folks with Alzheimers to give their loved ones the afternoon off. We do this here at our church and there is training involved. You do not need any special skills, just a willingness to help and the commitment to be here from 11:30-3:30 on Friday’s of your choice.
