Day Worker (Week day)
Assist with program needs.
Sign up in hourly blocks.
Suggested chores:
- assist with continental breakfast
- provide clerical support
- assist with light housekeeping of common areas
- do kitchen laundry
Stay for as many hourly blocks as wanted.
Other suggested activities:
- teach a craft or play a game
- bake something
- read a book
- watch TV
- use the computer
All children should remain on the 1st floor or in the family room, unless supervised by their parent.
May serve as a driver if able to meet the requirements of the driving requirements listed below.
Morning Driver
Drives van or personal car to take parent(s) to bus stops or appointments.
Arrive at 7 AM. Shift ends at 9 AM.
MUST provide copy of auto insurance coverage for $100,000 and $300,000.
*Position may not always be needed.
MUST provide copy of valid driver's license
Mid-Day Driver
Drives van or personal car to take parent(s) to bus stops or appointments.
Arrive at noon. Shift ends at 2 PM.
MUST provide copy of auto insurance coverage for $100,000 and $300,000.
*Position may not always be needed.
MUST provide copy of valid driver's license.
Afternoon Driver
Drives van or personal car to take parent(s) to bus stops or appointments.
Arrive at 3 PM. Shift ends at 5 PM.
MUST provide copy of insurance coverage for $100,000 and $300,000.
*Position may not always be needed.
MUST provide copy of valid driver's license.
Breakfast Preparer
Set up breakfast buffet on weekdays from 6:30 AM - 7 AM. Assist with clean-up.
Day worker that is already present.
Set up breakfast buffet on weekends from 7:00 AM - 8:00 AM. Assist with clean-up.

Breakfast buffet may include:
- Cereal, muffins, toast etc.
- Any item which can be prepared in the microwave or toaster.
- Optional choice of providing/preparing a hot breakfast on the weekend.
- May include French toast, pancakes, eggs, etc.
Dinner Preparer
Prepare or supply dinner and dessert for evening meal. Follow "Best Kitchen Practices" posted in kitchen.
Arrive by 5:30 PM. May leave at 6 PM.
Set up dinner buffet and drink buffet.

Drink buffet should include a choice of 3 beverages:
- water, one juice choice, milk
- NO soda for dinner
- Coffee and tea should always be available
Should have all food ready to be served by 6 PM. This includes "take-out" or "order in" food as well.
Dinner buffet should include:
- plates
- food choices
- condiments
Silverware and napkins should be set at tables prior to dinner being served. Guests will accomplish this task.
- May use food stored in pantry or freezers to prepare meal.
- Please check with Key Coordinator to obtain updated list of available foods.
May cook dinner on premises instead of preparing the meal at home.
Dinner Server
Assist with dinner buffet and drink buffet.
Arrive for 6 PM dinner meal.
Encouraged to sit and eat at guest tables intermixed with guests.
Maintains quiet time after dinner cleanup is complete.
Quiet Time is from 6 - 7:30 PM.
- Aid guests with clean-up following "Best Kitchen Practices" posted.
May leave at 7 PM.
- Should have prior training in using the dish washer/sanitizer.
Guests are not allowed to run the dishwasher.
Evening Host
- Frequently, conduct "walk-abouts".
- Use walkie-talkies to communicate with other evening hosts while walking throughout the house.
Arrive at 7 PM.

Leave at 9 PM.
- Make sure all children 10 years old and under are being supervised by their parent, another guest parent, or volunteer host.
- Children over 10 years old may be alone in a room with parental permission.
-TV's are not to be turned on until ALL living spaces are cleaned up and tidy.
-Quiet time ends at 7:30 PM
All children should remain on the 1st floor or in the family room until bedtime, unless supervised by their parent.
Parents are responsible for monitoring their child's bed-time.
When playing with or assisting children, **Remember-the "Safe Church Guidelines". - There is never to be one host alone with one guest child.
- You may have several children with one host OR
- Several hosts with one guest child. Never have one host and one child alone together.
Hosts should not ask guests to put children to bed, but are encouraged to LOG children's actual bedtime.
Close all curtains and lock all 1st floor windows by the time guests start going upstairs for bed at 8:30 PM.
- Children 10 and under go to bed by 8:30 PM.
- Children 11 - 14 years old go to bed by 9 PM.
- Children over 14 years old will go to bed by 10 pm.
Older children may watch TV upstairs in bedroom wing if they have had to go upstairs at an earlier sibling's bedtime.
ALL children go upstairs (as a family) at the time of the youngest child's bedtime.
Overnight Host
Provide guest with hospitality, emergency coverage and security during overnight hours.
- Arrive 8:30 PM - 9:00 PM
- Leave the next day at
6:30 AM.
- Secure all doors and security systems.
- Monitor security cameras in Director's office. (optional)
Designated sleeping areas:
- One host to sleep upstairs in designated overnight host room #11.
- One host to sleep downstairs in overnight host room located next to Director's office.
- The bathroom/shower attached to the downstairs overnight room is to be shared by both overnight hosts.
- Each overnight host is to provide their own sleeping bag or bedding and bath towels.
Adult guests may go to bed at a time of their own choosing.
- They are to remain in their bedroom wing beginning with the time of their youngest child's bedtime.
- They may watch TV in the TV room in their wing.
- Parents will have monitors to enable supervising children already in bed.
Remain awake and monitoring hallways and building until 11 PM when building door alarms are set.
May start morning coffee for guests and hosts.
Get up by 6 AM on weekdays AND 7 AM on weekends.
May assist with breakfast buffet setup.
Redirect children back to their own bedroom or their parent(s) bedroom until a parent is up and able to supervise them.
Children are to remain upstairs until their parent or another guest parent brings them downstairs supervised.

- Use walkie-talkies to communicate with other hosts while walking throughout the house.

- Make sure all children 10 years old and under are being supervised by their parent, another guest parent, or volunteer host.
- Children over 10 years old may be alone in a room with parental permission.
Stay for as many hourly blocks as wanted.
During the day, all children are to remain on the 1st floor or in the family room unless supervised by their parent.
Arrange/share an activity with our guest families.
Work as a companion to our guest families.
